Mysurean drowns at Balamuri

Srirangapatna: A 35-year-old man from Mysuru, who had gone on a picnic to Balamuri along with his friend was drowned in River Cauvery after he slipped and fell into it yesterday.

The deceased is Jayaram, an autorickshaw driver and a resident of Manchegowdanakoppal in Mysuru.

Jayaram was standing at the edge of the river when he slipped and fell into it.

The body was fished out of the river with the help of localites and was shifted to MMC&RI mortuary in Mysuru, where post-mortem was conducted and the body was handed over to the family members of the deceased.

KRS Police have registered a case in this regard.
