Mysureans shine at South Zone Central Revenue Sports Meet

Mysuru’s Raje Urs of Central Excise & Customs, representing Karnataka in the 52nd South Zone Central Revenue Sports Meet at Nehru Stadium here yesterday, won gold in the 5km walking event in the 45-plus Men’s section.

Mysuru’s Mahadevaiah, Administrative Officer, at Income-Tax office, representing Karnataka, won the silver medal in the men’s 45 plus 1500m event.

Both the athletes have earned selection to represent South Zone in the All India Central Revenue Sports Meet to be held in Kolkata in the last week of March.

Triple crown in Tennis

Another Mysurean, R. Nagaraj of Income-Tax Department, won triple crown by clinching the Men’s Open Doubles gold, 40+ and 50+ Singles titles in the tennis events of the Sports Meet held at SDAT Stadium in Nungambakkam here.
