Mysuru: The Assistant Commissioner’s (AC) office in the DC Office premises has gone online and people can access the details of cases filed in Revenue Courts.

As part of the digitisation programme initiated by the State Government, people can access the records of the revenue cases filed in the Assistant Commissioner’s Court. The facility that was launched recently in Bidar has been extended to the entire State. All the technical issues that surfaced initially during implementation of the scheme have been eliminated.

Regarding revenue matters, Tahsildars are subject to the control and supervision of the Sub-Divisional Officers and the Assistant Commissioners in-charge of the sub-divisions have been vested with powers of the Deputy Commissioner under Sections of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964 and also other State laws.

The Assistant Commissioner is the first appellate authority in respect of revenue matters handled by his subordinates and he is also the lowest level at which powers of revision under Section 56 of Karnataka Land Revenue Act, 1964.

As per the new RCCM technology, records at the Assistant Commissioner’s office can be easily accessed and information can be obtained such as the status of the case, previous hearings and file notes, future date of hearing and the final judgement, said C.L. Ananda, Mysuru Assistant Commissioner.

People can even obtain copies of the cases for their reference and if they want to appeal against the orders, he added.
