Mysuru artists to draw giant size rangoli of Raghavendra Swamy at Manthralaya

A team of Mysuru artists, in association with Omkar Samsthe, will be creating a world record of sorts by drawing a giant size rangoli of Guru Raghavendra Swamy, on a 20,000 sq.ft area, at the premises of Manthralaya’s Raghavendra Mutt in Andhra Pradesh on May 8 at 6 pm.

Addressing a press meet here on Saturday, Mysuru  artists team member Puneeth said that 9 members will draw the portrait of Raghavendra Swamy in a span of 12 hours on May 8.

More than 2,000 kgs of colourful rangoli powder will be used to create the portrait, he said adding that the authorities of Limca Book of Records and Asia Book of Records have been informed to send their representatives to document the feat.
