Mysuru City and Mysuru Rural KSRTC Divisions to merge on Mar. 1

Mysore/Mysuru: As per a Government decision taken on Dec. 28, 2021, the Mysuru City and Rural Divisions of KSRTC will be merged and named as ‘Mysuru Division’ with effect from Mar. 1.

KSRTC MD Shivayogi C. Kalasad has ordered that the new Mysuru Division will come into effect from Mar. 1, following the merger of KSRTC City and Rural divisions. Directing closure of Bannimantap Unit of City Division and Unit-2 of Rural Division, Kalasad said  that the excess staff arising out of the merger may be deployed to posts that are lying vacant in all the Four Transport Corporations of the state.

With the merger, the offices of the Mysuru City Division and Divisional workshop too will be shut down and the buildings that become vacant, can be utilized for other commercial purposes.

The department heads have been directed to complete all procedures and formalities of the merger by Mar. 1.
