Mysuru city Traffic ACP Office sealed

July 2, 2020

Mysore/Mysuru: While many Police Stations across Karnataka have been sealed and the surroundings have been declared as containment zones, Mysuru had not so far witnessed such a phenomenon. Today, however, Mysuru achieved that distinction as the office of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) has been sealed this morning as a lady constable has tested positive for COVID-19.

The Mysuru City Traffic ACP Office is located in Shivarampet and has been sealed this morning. Now, till the mandatory 14-day period, the office will be shut. Out of the seven Police constables and Home Guards functioning from the office, a lady constable tested positive.

All of them are primary contacts of the positive person and have been shifted to facility quarantine. If their results turn positive, they will be moved to the designated COVID-19 Hospital, said Police Department and Health Department sources. The ACP himself is a secondary contact and as such, he has been sent to home quarantine.
