Mysuru District PU Boys & Girls Throwball Tourney: Maharshi PU College, Vijaya Vittala Composite PU College bag titles

Maharshi PU College boys and Vijaya Vittala Composite PU College girls won the PU College boys and girls throwball titles respectively in the Mysore District Pre-University Throwball Tournament 2018, conducted by the Mysore District Amateur Throwball Association (MDATA) at Manasarovara Pushkarini School grounds in Vijayanagar here yesterday.

In the PU College boys section, Maharshi PU College beat Marimallappa PU College 25-18, 25-12 to clinch the title. In the semi-finals, Maharshi PU College beat Citizen’s PU College 25-19, 26-24 while Marimallappa PU College beat Gurukula PU College 25-15, 25-13  to enter the title round.

In the PU College girls section, Vijaya Vittala Composite PU College beat Citizen’s PU College 25-17, 24-26, 25-17 and clinched the title. In the semi-finals, Vijaya Vittala Composite PU College beat JSS PU College for Women 25-23, 25-20 and Citizen PU College beat Marimallappa PU College 25-18, 25-13.

The prizes were given away by Dr. P. Krishnaiah, in-charge Director, DPE, University of Mysore. N. Kashinath,  Secretary, MDATA, N.S. Subramanya. Convener, Mysore City Inter-Collegiate Tournaments and M.H. Venkatesh, Treasurer, MDATA, were present on the occasion.
