Mysuru reports 180 COVID-19 positive cases in three days; 69 cases today

Mysore/Mysuru: On Wednesday July 8, Mysuru reported 59 COVID-19 positive cases. Yesterday, July 9, 52 positive cases were reported and today, July 10, 69 cases have been reported. Since the last three days, a total of 180 cases have been recorded.

With today’s 69 cases, the active cases will go up to 358. The cumulative positive cases in Mysuru stand at 710. The figures have to be confirmed by Mysuru Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G. Sankar in his daily evening media bulletin. There have been 16 deaths so far and the positive case list has 11 healthcare workers.

Yesterday, 14 persons have been discharged, taking the total discharged number to 336. Till last evening, there were 289 active cases and of them, 236 have been isolated in the designated COVID-19 Hospital and two women are in the designated Maternity Hospital at V.V. Puram. 14 persons have been isolated in private hospitals and 37 positive persons have been isolated at homes. Of the patients, 10 are in critical condition and are being treated in ICUs.

The two death cases reported yesterday are from Udayagiri and from Ramenahalli at Nagamangala in Mandya. Over 11 healthcare workers have been infected and yesterday’s list had 11 primary contacts, 4 inter-State travellers, 3 inter-district travellers, 9 patients with Influenza-like Illness (ILI), 12 patients with Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome and 2 pregnant women.

Among the virus-infected persons in today’s list are four cases from Mysuru Central jail. Other cases have been reported from Krishna Raja Sagar village, T. Narasipur, Saligrama in K.R. Nagar, Third Main Vijayanagar Third Stage, Saragur Police Station in H.D. Kote, 9th Cross J.P. Nagar, Police Academy Mysuru, Soppinakeri, near N.R. Mohalla Police Station, Belavatha village, 11th Cross and 3rd Cross Gandhinagar, Lakshmipuram, K.C. Layout, Shakthinagar, Ramanuja Road, Udayagiri, Ramenahalli and Spatika Apartments in Mysuru.

Cases have also been reported from the surroundings of Mysuru City Corporation on Sayyaji Rao Road, 5th Cross Second Stage in Hebbal, Azeez Sait Nagar, Rajivnagar Beedi Colony, Fifth Block, Vasu Layout in Ramakrishnanagar, Second Main Metagalli, Kuvempunagar First Stage, West Cross Ashoka Road, Fourth Cross Mandi Mohalla and Soji Street on Ashoka Road.
