Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru reported 49 fresh COVID-19 positive cases this morning taking the total number of infected persons to 638. Total active cases in Mysuru District are 302 and they are being treated at the designated hospitals.
Till yesterday, 322 patients have been discharged and yesterday’s patient discharge count stands at 18. In all, 14 persons have lost battle against the virus in the district. The latest positive case figures have to be confirmed by Mysuru Deputy Commissioner in his daily evening media bulletin.
In today’s list, a couple of cases have been reported from Kodagu and Chamarajanagar. As such, there might be a change in total numbers if the positive cases are accounted for in those districts.
Among the total active cases, 239 are isolated in COVID hospitals as per last evening’s update, two are in isolation at designated Maternity Hospital, V.V. Puram and 12 patients have been isolated in private hospitals. Till yesterday, 24,571 samples have been tested and 23,982 have been found negative.
A 68-year-old woman from Udayagiri and a 48-year-old woman from Rajkumar Road are the two latest victims of the pandemic in Mysuru. Last Monday, three persons died and on Tuesday, the district reported four deaths taking the total number of deaths to 14.
Today’s positive cases have been reported from JSS Hospital area, K.C. Layout, Mahadeshwara Nursing Home, Siddhartha Nagar, Paduvarahalli and R.S. Naidunagar. Five cases have been reported from Puradakatte village, Gandanahalli village, Saragur Town, Kothegala village, Madikeri Town, Hunsur, 7th Cross Second Stage Vijayanagar, Police Academy, Cheluvamba Hospital area, First Cross J.C. Nagar and New Street Kollegal.
As per the information received from the Health Department, four positive cases have been reported from Mysuru City Corporation Office today. Other cases have been reported from Mayflower Hotel, Sathagalli, Gundlupet, Kuvempunagar, K.R. Hospital area, Kesare, First Stage Gayathripuram, Hebbal, Udayagiri, Mandi Mohalla and Lashkar Mohalla.
In Mysuru district so far, 14,506 persons have been observed and 11,864 of them have completed 14 days’ isolation. 2,389 persons have been isolated at homes.
