City’s Kala Samvahana Trust will be hosting Mysuru Sitar Sambhrama-2026 at Kalamandira on May 9 at 5 pm. The event will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa will preside. Chinmaya Mission’s Swami Krutatmananda will grace the occasion.

Legendary Singer-Composer H.R. Leelavathi and Art Patron Dr. M. Jagannath Shenoy will be the chief guests. Vocalist Padma Shri Pt. Venkatesh Kumar, Department of Kannada and Culture Joint Director V. N. Mallikarjunaswamy, Kala Samvahana Trust President Rajeshwari Vastrad and acclaimed Sitarist Dr. Mohasin Khan will be present.

The event will feature vocal recital by Pt. Venkatesh Kumar followed by a grand sitar ensemble by Sitar Sinchana, Mysuru, sitar recital by Ustad Mohasin Khan. The artistes will be accompanied by Ustad Nisar Ahmed, Pt. Keshav Joshi and Charudath Maharaj on tabla, Pt. Veerabhadraiah Hiremath on harmonium, Pt. Chinmay Namannavar on violin, Rudresh Bhajantri on shehnai, Manu Rao on keyboard and Sujayeendra Rao on rhythm pad.
