Mysuru student among 50 infected by Nipah virus in State: Health Minister

Mysuru: Health and Family Welfare Minister Dinesh Gundurao has said, the symptoms of Nipah virus has been diagnosed in 50 people in the State including one in Mysuru. The virus has been diagnosed in a student in the city. 

Speaking to Star of Mysore, District Health Officer (DHO) Dr. P.C. Kumaraswamy said, the student had been to Kerala to attend the funeral of his relative.  He has been identified as the preliminary contact and his travel history is being tracked.

Latest medical reports said that the blood sample of the student that was sent to the laboratory for test has come negative for Nipah.
