Mysuru ZP gets new CEO

Mysore/Mysuru: More than 20 days after IAS Officer Prashanth Kumar Mishra was transferred following the row over the suicidal death of Nanjangud Taluk Health Officer Dr. S.R. Nagendra, the State Government on Tuesday appointed senior KAS Officer D. Bharathi as the new CEO (Chief  Executive Officer) of Mysuru ZP. Mysuru DC was holding concurrent charge as ZP CEO subsequent to Mishra’s transfer.

Bharathi was serving as Secretary of State Election Commission at Bengaluru. A native of Ramapattana in Hunsur taluk, she is not new to Mysuru as she had earlier served as Assistant Commissioner and as Registrar of Mysore University. She had also served as Tahsildar at Mandya and as Chamarajanagar Additional DC.
