N. Neelakanta (51), President of Kannada Samithi and a resident of Ittigegud, passed away yesterday night following a heart attack.

He leaves behind his mother Puttamma, wife Roopa, two sons and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were performed at the foot of Chamundi Hill this afternoon, according to family sources.
