Nadoja Bhashyam Swamiji feted

Mysuru: Prof. Bhashyam Swamiji, Head of Sri Yoganarasimhaswamy temple in Vijayanagar, Mysuru, who was recently conferred the prestigious ‘Nadoja’ award by Hampi Kannada University, was felicitated by Nayana Kumar’s Multi-speciality Hospital, at a programme organised in the Hospital premises near Netaji Circle in Dattagalli here yesterday.

Speaking after being felicitated, Prof.Bhashyam Swamiji said that Hampi Kannada University conferred  ‘Nadoja’ award on him in recognition of his services to literature. 

Noting that thespian Dr. Rajkumar dedicated his entire life for the cause of Kannada land, language and literature, he said that influenced by the great actor’s love for Kannada, he translated 122 Sanskrit works to Kannada.

Pointing out that he still continues with literary works, Prof. Bhashyam Swamiji said that he is happy for having bestowed with the prestigious award.

Hospital Chairman K.B. Kumar said that the Hospital has been started with the motto of public service. Maintaining that the Hospital is charging less fee than other Multi-Speciality Hospitals in the city, he said that all services has started in the Hospital and a good number of people are availing affordable service every day.

Hospital Advisor Dr. Umapathy Panyala, in his address, said that the marketing department of the Hospital is creating awareness on health facilities and services available in the Hospital.

Late actor Dr. Rajkumar’s elder daughter Lakshmi and her husband Govindaraj were also felicitated on the occasion.

Past President of Lions Club  K. Devegowda, Srinivas, Sadananda and others were present on the occasion.
