Nalwadi’s 136th Vardhantotsava tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar’s 136th birth anniversary will be celebrated on June 4, in a simple way in the wake of the lockdown due to COVID-19. According to a press release by Kannada and Culture Assistant Director H. Channappa, the Jayanti programme will be held in association with the District Administration.

As part of the Vardhantotsava, Ursu Mandali Sangha, Mysuru, will be offering floral tribute to the Wadiyar’s statue at K.R. Circle in city tomorrow (June 4) at 10.30 am. Later, District Minister S.T. Somashekar and MLA S.A. Ramdas will offer floral tribute to a portrait of Nalwadi at the Sangha premises on Tyagaraja Road. Sangha President S. Lingaraje Urs will preside.
