Namma – 112 vehicle Police personnel feted

Mysore/Mysuru: City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta on Feb. 17 handed over letter of appreciation to 10 Police personnel of Namma-112 vehicle in city for their exemplary works in responding on time and showing the sense of duty.

Those who received the letter of appreciation are: Assistant Sub-Inspectors Basavaraja Urs, Mohan Kumar and Ramesh, Civil Head Constables Krishna, Varadaraju, Rajendra Prakash and Chikkabasavegowda, Armed Head Constable Keerthi, Armed Police Constables Yuvaraj and Narasimha.

In a bid to make Police facility people-friendly and to respond to the public who calls 112, the City Police Commissioner, on Feb. 14, had launched 20 Emergency Response vehicles in city.

From Feb. 14 till Feb. 18, 2,603 complaints were received and the Police personnel have responded by reaching the spot in the emergency vehicles within 10 minutes of receiving the complaints. The public are urged to make use of the facility and call  Helpline No: 112 for help at the time of an emergency.
