Nanjangud bus stand yet to see its usual buzz

May 20, 2020

Nanjangud: The KSRTC bus stand in the temple town is far from seeing its usual buzz as only a few passengers were seen at the bus stand today, the second day of resumption of bus services following easing of COVID-19 lockdown curbs.

Although Nanjangud came out of sealdown a couple of days ago subsequent to Mysuru District becoming COVID-19 free, people seemed to have not been properly informed about resumption of bus services to different destinations from Nanjangud. As such, only a few passengers were seen at the bus stand. However, there was a marginal increase in the number of passengers today as compared to the first day on Tuesday. The KSRTC authorities operated buses to several villages in the taluk such as  Hullahalli, Hura, Hadinaru, Hediyala and Kasuvinahalli. Buses are also plying to Mysuru.

On the second day today, the authorities plied buses to Chamarajanagar and Gundlupet too after the higher authorities gave permission to operate inter-district buses from Nanjangud.
