Nanjangud: At a time when most of the Government Hospitals are lacking in infrastructure, one Hospital in Nanjangud town has bagged an award for best functioning.

The Government Maternity and Children’s Hospital in Nanjangud has bagged the prestigious ‘LaQshya Award’ given by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare. LaQshya is a quality improvement initiative in Labour Room and Maternity, which aims to ensure quality of care during Intrapartum and immediate Post-Partum period in Labour Room and Maternity OT.

With the award, the Nanjangud Maternity Hospital has gained national attention in Maternity and Child Care. It will also get more funds from the Government, according to Hospital Superintendent Dr. Shivaprasad, who has thanked the Doctors, Nurses, Paramedical personnel and all other staff of the Hospital for their service.
