Nanjangud Senior Journalist Krishnarao passes away

Nanjangud: Senior Journalist S. Krishnarao (79), a resident of Nanjangud town, passed away at his residence  yesterday.

He leaves behind his wife, three daughters and a host of relatives and friends.

He had served in Journalism field for over four decades and was popularly known as ‘Ajatashatru’ of the town. He had served as Honorary Editor of Hoysala Karnataka newspaper for many years and won several awards and prizes for his service to the society.

He had also served as the Dharmadarshi of the famed Srikanteshwaraswamy Temple in Nanjangud and as the President of Nanjangud Taluk Journalists Association.

Last rites were performed on the Banks of River Kapila in the town last evening.
