Nanjangud Temple records Rs. 1.48 crore hundi collection

Nanjangud: The famed Srikanteshwara Temple at Nanjangud, popularly known as ‘Dakshina Kashi,’ has recorded a hundi collection of Rs.1.48 crore in cash in one month.

The monthly hundi counting was taken up at the temple’s Dasoha Bhavan here recently, during which Rs. 1,48,33,874 in cash, 51 gram gold jewellery, 1.7-kg of silver articles and 31 currencies of different countries were found.

The counting was taken up under the supervision of the Temple EO C.J. Krishna.
