Nanjangud temple records Rs. 2.11 crore ‘hundi’ collection

Nanjangud: Srikanteshwara Temple at Nanjangud, popularly known as ‘Dakshina Kashi,’ has recorded a hundi collection of Rs. 2.11 crore. Counting of all the temple hundis, which are more than 30 in number, was taken up on Thursday, during which Rs. 2,11,50,000 in cash, 58 grams of gold & 2.5 kgs of silver articles and 46 foreign currencies were found.

The counting was taken up at temple’s Dasoha Bhavan under the supervision of Temple EO C.J. Krishna & Bank officials.
