Mysuru: Narasimharaja (NR) Police have seized yet another drone, which was found flying illegally near Millennium Circle (LIC Circle) and Bannimantap surroundings on Oct. 14. With this, the NR Police have seized two illegal drones, one on Oct. 11 and another on Oct, 14. In all, six drones flying illegally have been seized in the city. Four drones have been seized by Devaraja Police.
On Oct. 14 at about 10.30 pm, NR Police noticed a man flying a drone above LIC Circle. The Cops, who reached the spot, went to the man who was flying the drone and asked him to produce the permission letter.
As the man had not taken permission from the Police Department, he failed to produce the same, following which the NR Police seized the drone along with three batteries and remote controller. The Police then issued a notice asking him to produce relevant documents.
There is no permission to fly drones in city and it is mandatory to take permission to fly one, said City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar and warned that legal action would be initiated if drones are found flying illegally.
