Mysuru: National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO), Mysuru, in association with  Indian Institute of Architects, Mysuru chapter, will award architects in city to recognise their talent and for their contribution to the construction industry. The ceremony will be held on Aug. 19 at Country Inn and Suites, Hebbal at 6.30 pm.

The awards for architects will be in six categories and there will be an award exclusively for builders and developers under “Best Real Estate Project of the Year” category. The categories for the awards for Architects are as follows:

(1) (a) Private residential  and (b) Group housing

(2) Public buildings and  institutions

(3) Commercial buildings

(4) Industrial buildings

(5) Green buildings

(6) Life-time achievement  award

(7) Best real estate project  of the year

Along with the above categories, NAREDCO will also give awards to the best design/ thesis of the student currently studying at architecture schools in Mysuru.

The recognition of the best work done by architects will be judged by a jury which will consist of five eminent architects who are having expertise in the selection process. All the architects, builders, developers and other stakeholders of the industry in Mysuru will participate. A souvenir of NAREDCO Mysuru will be released on the occasion.

NAREDCO is an apex body which was established as an autonomous self-regulatory body in 1998 under the aegis of Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation, Government of India. It advocates developing standards for efficient, effective and ethical real estate business practice valued by all the stakeholders of the real estate industry and to create and sustain an environment conducive to the growth of real estate industry in India.
