Nartana Samarpana Rangapravesha of Chinmayee Bharadwaj tomorrow

Mysuru: Raasavrunda will be presenting Nartana Samarpana Rangapravesha of Chinmayee Bharadwaj, disciple of Vidu. Nandini Eswer and Dr. Rohitha Eswer, at Sri Kashi Matha Sri Rama Mandira, Subbarayanakere, Shivarampet, Mysuru, on June 12 at 6 pm.

Choreography is by Guru Lalitha Dora and Vidu. Nandini Eswer. She will be accompanied by Dr. Rohitha Eswer on natuvanga, Vidu. Ashwini Satish, Bengaluru, on vocal, Vid. H.L. Shvashankar Swamy on mridanga, Vid. Gopal Venkatraman, Bengaluru, on veena and Vid. A.N. Raghu Simha, Bengaluru, on flute.  Dr. Shruti Venkatesh of Bengaluru will compere.

Chinmayee Bharadwaj will also be giving a Bharatanatyam solo recital on June 19 at 6 pm at Natana Rangashale premises in Ramakrishnanagar, Mysuru.

Profile: Chinmayee Bharadwaj is a performing artiste of Raasavrunda School of Dance, Mysuru. She is the daughter of Dr. K. Vani and Dr. D. Srinivasamurthy.

She had her primary education at Acharya Vidya Kula and completed her Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Wadiyar Centre for Architecture, Mysuru. She had the privilege of starting her journey under the prestigious school of Raasavrunda, under the tutelage of Vidu. Nandini Eswer and Dr. Rohitha Eswer.

She has completed her proficiency grade (Vidwat) in Bharatanatyam and secured first rank for the State. Trained in Mohiniyattam under Kalamandalam Suchitra Anilkumar, she has completed her Rangapravesha.

Chinmayee is a B Grade artiste in Bharatanatyam awarded by Doordarshan. She is a recipient of the Scholarship from Karnataka Sangeetha Nrithya Academy, Government of Karnataka.

Chinmayee has performed in the productions of Raasavrunda; in the Lecture-Demonstrations by Raasavrunda on a joint Project with Buffalo University, New York, USA and Travelers Choice, Bengaluru; Lecture-Demonstration on Indian Culture with Special Reference to Indian Classical Dance, for the Professors and Research Scholars from Buffalo University, USA.

She has performed for Raasavrunda in a joint project for Michigan University, USA, on the topic South Indian Art and Sustainability; Project: Performing Arts in India, for the faculty of Clemson University and South Carolina University, USA, at Vivekananda Institute of Indian Studies, Mysuru; Performed in Akka Kellavva project, a reflection of the Inter-Semiotic Transformation of select Vachanas of Akka Mahadevi into a music-dance production, headed by Vidu. Dr. M.A. Jyothi.
