National Awards to H.S. Doreswamy, C. Chandrashekar, T. N. Krishnan

Bengaluru: Kannada and Culture Minister D.K. Shivakumar has released the list of the Kannada and culture Department 2018 National awardees that includes the list of Lalithakala and Jakkannachari awards.

Chennai’s renowned violinist T.N. Krishnan is selected for T. Chowdaiah National Award in Karnatak music, Gandhian and freedom fighter Bengaluru’s H.S. Doreswamy for Basava National Award, Haveri’s Chanamma Hallikeri is being conferred  Bhagavan Mahaveer National Peace Award for following the principles of non-violence and doing social service. 

Bagalkote’s Prakash Kadapatti is being conferred the Dr. Gubbi Veeranna Award, Bidar’s Chandrasha Tammannappa Malage and  Mysuru’s Hinkal Mahadevaiah get the Janapada Award, Bengaluru’s C. Chandrashekar is being conferred the Varnashilpi Venkatappa Award and Udupi’s Lakshminarayan Acharya  has been selected for Jakkanachari Award.
