National Co-operative Week celebrations from tomorrow

Lectures, interactions to strengthen Co-op. sector

Mysuru:  The Mysuru District Co-operative Union Ltd., has organised a series of programmes as part of the 65th All India Co-operative Week celebrations that will held between Nov.14 and Nov. 20 from at 10.30 am onwards at various places in the district.

Speaking to reporters at Pathrakarthara Bhavan in city yesterday, District Co-operative Union President H.V. Rajeev said that  the Co-operative Week will be observed with the main objective of ‘Inclusive growth and good governance through co-operatives for rural prosperity.’

On Nov. 14, various subject experts will give a talk on ‘Co-operative Marketing, Processing and Storage’ at the Sahakara Bhavan on Chamaraja Double Road in city.

On Nov. 15, the lecture will be held at Manjunatha Kalyana Mantapa in Periyapatna on ‘Co-operatives key for organic farming and zero budget farming.’

On Nov. 16, it will be held at TAPCMS Conventional Hall in T. Narasipur on the topic, ‘Value Addition and Brand Building through Co-operatives.’

On Nov. 17, the event will be held at Dr. Ambedkar Bhavan in Nanjangud on ‘Building Public Private-Co-operative Partnership.’

On Nov. 18, it will be held at Dr. Ambedkar Bhavan in Hunsur on the topic ‘Awareness of Government Schemes and Income Generation Through Co-operatives.’

On Nov. 19, it will be held at MYMUL Sub-Division Office in H.D. Kote on the topic ‘Co-operatives for Youth, Women and Weaker Sections Empowerment.’

On Nov. 20, it will be held at H.D. Deve Gowda Community Hall in K.R. Nagar on the topic ‘Skill and Technology Upgradation through Co-operatives.’

Directors of District Co-operative Union Satish and Srinivas, Principal of Co-operative Training Centre Chandrashekar, Lecturer Visveswaraiah and others were present at the press meet.
