Mysuru: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, GSSSIETW, had recently organised a National Conference on Image Processing, Computing, Communication, Networking and Data Analytics (NCICCNDA 2017).

The conference was organised in association with IEEE Bangalore Section and Publication partner UGC-approved IJERT (International Journal of Engineering Research and Technology) Journal for Research Scholars including Academic, Industries, PG/UG Students and Faculty.

The conference was inaugurated by Dr. Anjaneyulu Pasala, Principal Research Scientist, Infosys Labs, Bengaluru. The Guest of Honour was Dr. M. Girish Chandra, Principal Scientist, TCS, Bengaluru, and Sudheendra Koushik, Co-Chair, IEEE Asia Pacific Committee, Vice-President & Head, TTK Prestige. R.K. Bharath, Member and CEO, GSSS, Mysuru, Dr. K.A. Sumithra Devi, General Chair-NCICCNDA-2017, Principal, GSSSIETW, Mysuru, and Dr. S Meenakshi Sundaram, Organising Chair-NCICCNDA-2017, Head, Department of Computer Science & Engineering, GSSSIETW, Mysuru were present.

In his address, Dr. Anjaneyulu Pasala explained the importance of research, how to choose the right topic which is the foundation on which everything else rests and selecting the right methodology.

His address was followed by keynote address by Dr. M. Girish Chandra, Principal Scientist, TCS, Bengaluru who explained the challenges in research and how research should be done effectively and how to set research goals.

NCICCNDA-2017 attracted 70 scholarly papers from Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Telangana and Karnataka. In all, 59 papers were accepted for publication after rigorous review process.
