Mysuru: A two-day 12th Indian Society of Prosthodontics Restorative and Periodontics (ISPRP) National Conference commenced yesterday at Rajendra Auditorium in JSS Medical College premises in Bannimantap here. About 500 dentists from across the country are participating in the Meet.
Inaugurating the conference, Dental Council of India (DCI) Vice-President and MLA Dr. Y. Bharath Shetty commended the ISPRP for organising several activities related to the profession. He suggested that more importance should be given for research. He contended that such Conferences would evolve new thoughts which could be advocated. He observed that the field of dentistry has seen radical changes over the last five years. He further suggested that a Conference should lay the foundation for medical students to pursue more research.
JSS Mahavidyapeetha Executive Director Dr. C.G. Betsurmath presided. JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research Registrar Dr. B. Manjunath, Director Dr. P.A. Kushalappa, ISPRP Chairman Dr. George P. John, office-bearers Dr. M.S. Prathap, Dr. Harish Shetty, Dr. Rajendra Kashyap, Dr. L. Krishnaprasad and Dr. S. Mahalakshmi were present.
