Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Public Libraries will be celebrating National Library Week at the City Central Library and all its  branches across the district from Nov.14 to 20.

As part of the celebration, a painting and poster contest for school children and college students will be conducted  at the City Central Library premises in People’s Park, Nazarbad at 10.30 am on Nov. 13 (Sunday).

The contest will be held under different categories. The theme of painting contest for children from 1st to 3rd standards (Junior section) is ‘Nature’; for students of 4th to 6th (Sub-junior section) ‘Me and Books,’ for 7th to 10th standards (Senior) is ‘The Library of my Vision.’

There will be a poster contest for Fine Arts and other College students (Master section), with focus on Digital Library.

There will be 3 prizes in each category. Winners will be distributed prizes and certificates during the inaugural function of the National Library Week to take place at the City Central Library, Peoples’ Park, Nazarbad, at 11 am on Nov. 14.
