National Library Week from Nov. 14 to 20

The Department of Public Libraries will be celebrating National Library Week in all Libraries across the District from Nov. 14 to 20. In a press release, the Deputy Director of City Central Library said that the National Library Week is an annual celebration highlighting the valuable role the Libraries, Librarians and other Library workers play in transforming  lives and strengthening our communities. The Week also aims to promote Library use and support by members of the public.

As part of the Library Week, all Libraries in the District have been directed to illuminate Library buildings, maintenance of hygiene in and around Libraries, launching of membership drives through Karnataka Digital Public Library Portal, promotion of Digital Library concept, conducting awareness on use of Digital Library among students etc. The Week will also feature display of newly released text books, reference books, competitive exams books and such other books, the release added.
