National Pharmacy Week Celebrations inaugurated

Mysore/Mysuru: Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA), Mysuru branch, is celebrating 61st National Pharmacy Week from Nov.14 to 19 jointly with JSS College of Pharmacy, JSS AHER, Mysuru.

The theme for this year is “Pharmacy of the World — India”. Through this celebration awareness is created among the public, other healthcare providers and the authorities, about the invaluable contributions that the pharmacists make to the healthcare system.

Dr. Upendra Shenoy, Chief of Medical Services, Manipal Hospitals, Mysuru, inaugurated the 61st National Pharmacy Week Celebrations on Monday at Sri Rajendra Auditorium of JSS College of Pharmacy.

In his inaugural address, he mentioned the role of pharmacists in building sound health of the society. He also said that today there are many ways by which pharmacists can help patients based on their requirements.

Dr. M. Manjunata, Professor, Cauvery College of Pharmacy, Mysuru, was present. Dr. T.M. Pramod Kumar, Principal, JSS College of Pharmacy, welcomed. Dr. R.S. Chandan, Secretary, IPA, Mysuru branch, proposed a vote of thanks.
