National Seminar on ‘Implementation of NEP-2020 in Karnataka’ on Jan. 9

Mysore/Mysuru: A one-day national seminar on “Implementation of National Education Policy (NEP)-2020 in Karnataka: Opportunities and Road Ahead,” organised jointly by Karnataka Rajya Mahavidyalaya Shikshak Sangha – Mysore University Vibhaga; University of Mysore, Karnataka State Open University, Karnataka State Higher Education Council, Bengaluru and Centre for Educational and Social Studies, Bengaluru, will be held on Jan. 9 from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm at Vijnan Bhavan, Manasagangothri in city.

The Karnataka Government is upbeat about becoming the first State in the country to implement the NEP and it is the right time to discuss on the implementation of NEP-2020 in Karnataka, to complement the process and vision of the Government in creating quality institutions, a culture of innovation, and a highly skilled workforce in the State. 

The seminar offers platform for academicians, NGOs and policy-makers for discussion and exchange of ideas on effective implementation of NEP in the State, that would help to empower and support the higher education system. 

Research Papers invited: Research papers are invited on the main topic and any of the following sub-themes of the seminars either in English or Kannada. The papers must be original or unpublished and it should not have been presented in any other occasions. 

The sub-themes for paper presentations are: 1. Governance and leadership of higher education systems. 2. Improvement of infrastructure in the higher education system. 3. Impact of NEP on discipline and practice of science, social science, commerce, management etc. 4. Ensuring the inclusiveness and equity in the higher education system. 5. Empowerment of Teachers. 6. Remodeling the support system such as political, legal, economical and technological etc. 7. Impact of Covid-19 pandemic on the higher education system. 8. Strengthening the culture of Research and Innovation in the higher education system. 9. The role of Civil Society Organisation in the higher education system. 10. Any other topic strictly relevant to the theme and sub-themes of the seminar.
