National Voters Day on Jan. 25

With the National Voters Day to be celebrated on Jan.25, Additional DC (ADC) B.S. Manjunathaswamy chaired a preliminary meeting at the Deputy Commissioner’s Office here yesterday.

Addressing the meeting, Manjunathaswamy said that as part of the celebration, a rally will be taken out from Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple at the Palace North Gate at 9 am on Jan. 25, following which the stage programme will be held at Town Hall. MCC Secretary Rangaswamy said that the newly enrolled voters of Chamaraja, Narasimharaja, Krishnaraja and Chamundeshwari Assembly segments will be issued Voter ID Cards and awareness programmes on the importance of voting will be held.

MUDA Commissioner Dr. D.B. Natesh, ZP Deputy Secretary Prem Kumar, DDPI Dr. Panduranga, MCC Deputy Commissioner R. Aishwarya, Tahsildar K.R. Rakshit, District SVEEP Committee Nodal Officer Krishna, Election Shirastedar Ramprasad and others were present.
