Natl. Technical Symposium “TANTRAGYAAN -2018”

Mysuru: A two-day National-level technical symposium, “TANTRAGYAAN -2018” was organised by the Department of Construction Technology and Management, Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering (SJCE), JSS Science and Technology University (JSS S&TU), Mysuru, on Apr.9 and 10.

The symposium was conducted for the Construction Technology & Management and Civil Engineering students with the theme ‘Fast track Construction and Management’. Totally, there were about 10 events and 130 students from different engineering colleges from Karnataka participated in the symposium.

The event provided a platform for knowledge sharing and enhancing the competitiveness among students in the field of Civil Engineering and Project Management.

In the symposium, technical lectures were also arranged. Er. A. R. Ashok, ACC Technologies and Er. Sumanth Kashyap, L&T, Bengaluru, gave technical presentation on advancements in form-work construction and new technologies in construction.

The event was inaugurated by JSS S&TU Vice-Chancellor Dr. B. G. Sangameshwara while Dr. K. S. Lokesh released the technical volume ‘Tantragyaan-2018.’ Dr. G. P. Chandradhara, Head, Department of Construction Technology, welcomed. M.S. Sunil Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Construction Technology & Management, highlighted about the various events of the symposium.

Dr. T. N. Nagabushan, Principal, SJCE, presided. K. Pushpa, Assistant Professor, Department of Construction Technology & Management, proposed a vote of thanks. The winners of various events were given certificates and prizes at the valedictory.
