Nayakanda K. Mandanna (Raghu), a resident of Ramakrishnanagar ‘I’ Block, passed away in the wee hours of today at a private hospital in city following brief illness. He was 79.

He leaves behind his wife Kamala Mandanna, son Col. Ashith Mandanna, daughter-in-law and grandchildren.

He had served as a lecturer at Co-operative Training Institution as Lecturer in Madikeri and Mysuru. Post retirement, he served in Mysuru Kodagu Sahakara Sangha as its Hon. Secretary for 16 long years and had also served as the President of Ramakrishna Nagar ‘I’ Block Kodava Sangha.

Last rites were performed at Muktidhama in Vijayanagar 4th Stage here this evening.
