Nayakas demand 7.5% reservation

June 22, 2019

Mysuru: Mysuru Nayakara Pade members staged a protest in front of Jaladarshini Guest House on Hunsur road here on Thursday urging the State Government to enhance the reservation for Scheduled Tribe from 3% to 7.5% on par with the policy of the Central Government.

They said that pressing for the demand, a padayatra has been undertaken by Sri Prasanna Nandapuri Swamiji from Rajanahalli Maharshi Gurupeetha, Harihar, Davanagere district from June 9 to reach Vidhana Soudha. They regretted that none of the Ministers or officials have taken note of that. They warned to intensify the stir if the Government fails to consider their demand.

Mysuru Nayakara Pade President Paduvarahalli M. Ramakrishna led the protest.
