More than 30 NCC Cadets held a ‘CHEER FOR INDIA’ march-past in city this morning to cheer the Indian athletes who are taking part in the Tokyo Olympics.

The Cadets, holding placards, took out a march in the premises of 13 KAR Bn NCC and near the DC Office here, raising slogans like ‘Jeeto India’ (Win India), ‘Proud of India’, ‘Chinna Geddu Banni’ (Win gold medal in Kannada).

While addressing the gathering, Administrative Officer (AO) Asuthosh Devarani said, “We are proud of athletes who are representing India in the Olympics. I request everyone to cheer for our athletes and wish them good luck to win gold medals for the country.”

Nabeel Ahamed, Senior Under Officer (SUO), 13 Kar Bn NCC, Sarada Vilas College, aslo spoke.

A cycle rally organised by the 13 Kar Bn NCC was withheld due to imposition of curfew for SSLC examination.

Subedar Major Rajendra Singh, Training ACO Subedar Jugaraj Singh, Care Taker Officer (CTO) 13 Kar Bn, Delhi Public School, Mamata Pratap, Commanding Officer (CO) Col. Rajesh Kumar, Junior Under Officer Sathish Kumar and others were present at the event.
