Mysuru:  In an inhumane incident, a just-born baby girl was found wrapped in a plastic cover on Srirampura Main Road in city this morning.

Pedestrians, who found the plastic cover, opened it only to find the baby, following which they informed the matter to Kuvempunagar Police Station.

Sundari, a woman Head Constable, who rushed to the spot, shifted the new-born baby to Cheluvamba Hospital, where the baby is said to be stable.

It is suspected that somebody may have packed the baby in a plastic cover and thrown it on the road as the baby is a girl. Kuvempunagar Police are investigating.
