New Gandhi Bhavan site: MLA Ramdas launches compound wall works

Mysore/Mysuru: Krishnaraja (KR) MLA S.A. Ramdas performed guddali puja for the construction of compound around the site meant for Gandhi Bhavan at SBM Layout in Aravindanagar here this morning.

MUDA had allotted a Civic Amenities (CA) site for the construction of Gandhi Bhavan and Rs. 25 lakh was sanctioned to the Kannada and Culture Department for the construction of compound wall around the CA site. The compound wall construction will be taken up by Nirmithi Kendra.

Speaking on the occasion, Ramdas said that more than one lakh people had laid down their lives during the freedom struggle and once Gandhi Bhavan is constructed, it will help the future generations to learn about the freedom movement because of which India got independence.

Gandhi Vichara Parishat President P. Mallesh, Secretary Samskruti Subramanya, Corporator Champaka, E. Dhananjaya and others were present on the occasion.
