Former Prime Minister and JD(S) Supremo H.D. Deve Gowda inaugurated the newly-constructed Srirama Hatthu Janara Garadi Mane at K.G. Koppal in city yesterday. Former MUDA Chairman L. Nagendra, Arpitha Pratap Simha, former Mayor R. Lingappa, Adichunchanagiri Shakha Mutt’s Sri Somanatha Swamiji, Karnataka Kavalu Pade State President M. Mohankumar Gowda were present. Inaugurating the Garadi Mane, the former PM said that he had entered politics after performing puja to a Garadi Mane. “The present difficult political state in Karnataka has made me to plunge into active politics in this ripe age,” he said without forgetting to add that if people thought that he was too old for electoral politics, they were wrong.
