Mysuru: Mysuru-Chamarajanagar District Judicial Department Employees Credit Co-operative Society had organised a function at Zilla Panchayat premises here on Saturday to felicitate the newly appointed High Court Judges Ashok G. Nijagannavar, A.S. Bellunke, H.P. Sandesh and K. Natarajan.
Speaking on the occasion, Nijagannavar said that Mysuru Court has provision to employ 1,170 staff but only 600 are employed now and added that a similar situation prevailed in Chamarajanagar Court also. He further said that staff crunch too was contributing to delay in judging cases. He suggested that facts and figures should be sent to the High Court three months prior to the retirement of an employee of Court.
A.S. Bellunke expressed happiness in felicitation to the four Judges who had served in Mysuru. He opined that any Judge cannot function without the co-operation of the subordinates.
K. Natarajan thanked the effort and service of the Court employees in upholding the dignity of the judiciary.
Principal District and Sessions Judge S.K. Vantigodi presided.
District Court Chief Administrative Officer V. Puttaswamy, Society President S.K. Devarajegowda and others were present during the programme.
