Newly elected Ameer-e-Shariath-3 visits city

Mysuru: Hazrath Moulana Sagheer Ahmed Saheb Rishadi, who was elected unanimously as theAmeer-e-Shariath-3 after the demise of Ameer-e-Shariath-2 Hazrath Moulana Mohamed Ashraf Ali Saheb, visited Mysuru for the first time recently to take part in the Namaz-e-Janaza of his co-brother Hazrath Moulana Hafiz Noor Ul Haq Saheb, who passed away on Sept.30.

Newly elected Ameer-e-Shariath-3, who came to city on Oct.1, participated at a function organised by Anjuman-e-Taraqi Urdu Hind, Mysore Unit to felicitate Senior Journalist Afsar Pasha, who was awarded the ‘Daily Pasban Award’ recently at Bangalore and Moulana Afsar Sayeed Saheb.

Prof. Syed Manzoor Ahmed , former Secretary, Anjuman-e-Taraqi Urdu Hind, Mysore Unit and Hazrath Moulana Mohamed Naseem Ahmed Saheb Rishadi felicitated Afsar Pasha and lauded his services in the field of Journalism from past 25 years. Hazrath Moulana Afsar Sayeed Siddiqi was also felicitated on the occasion.

A  grand welcome was organised to the visiting Moulana at Madrasa e-Ashraf Uloom, Kesre. Hazrath Moulana Mohamed Naseem Saheb Rishadi, Mohtamim, Madrasa-e-Ashraf Ul Uloom and Prof Syed Mansoor Ahmed, former Secretary, Anjuman-e-Taraqi Urdu Hind, Mysore Unit  presented shawl and garlanded Ameer-e-Shariath-3.

Later, former Mayor and Corporator Ayub Khan also met the Moulana. Famous Urdu poet Abdul Rahman Gowhar Tarikervi presided and recited a Urdu poem written in memory of Late Ameer-e-Shariath-2.

Hazrath Moulana Mohamed Zaka Ulla Siddiqi, President of All India Milli Council, Mysore District Unit. Shameem Ahmed, Dr. Habeeb Ahmed Khan Nayeem, Abdul Khuddus and Moulana Qari Fayaz Ahmed were present on the occasion.

Noor Mohamed Merchant, Secretary, Anjuman welcomed the dignitaries and Syed Munawar Hussain famous artist and office Secretary of Anjuman-e-Taraqi Urdu Hind, Mysuru unit proposed vote of thanks.
