Newly elected MLCs to take oath on Jan. 6

The 25 new MLCs, who were elected for the Legislative Council seats from Local Authorities Constituencies of the State, for which polls were held on Dec. 10, 2021, will take oath as new Members of the Council  at Vidhana Soudha’s Banquet Hall at 11 am on Jan. 6. Legislative Council Deputy Secretary B.A. Basavaraju has shot off a letter to all the 25 newly elected MLCs asking them to come  along with the election certificate issued by the respective Returning Officer and take oath on Jan. 6. The term of all the current MLCs who were elected from Local Authorities Constituency, will end on Jan. 5.
