Mysore/Mysuru: Depressed over her husband’s alleged illicit affair, a 24-year-old woman committed suicide by hanging at Anandanagar in city last evening. A case has been registered at Saraswathipuram Police Station.
The woman has been identified as Bhavana. She had got married to Ajay, a software engineer just a month ago. After marriage and while seeing her husband’s mobile phone, apparently Bhavana found out her husband’s sleazy photos with a woman indicating their alleged extra-marital affair, Police said.
She questioned Ajay about the woman and the issue reached family elders and it was a revelation to Ajay’s family and they discussed the issue. Though a truce was brought between the fighting couple and a compromise was reached, Bhavana was upset about the issue and went into depression, the Police added.
Last evening, a dejected Bhavana wrote a suicide note and hung herself. In the death note, Bhavana has blamed none but herself for her extreme step. Saraswathipuram Police, who have registered a case of suicide, are investigating.
