Newly married youth found hanging in Railway bogie

Mysore/Mysuru: A 27-year-old newly married youth committed suicide by hanging self from a ceiling fan of a bogie of a train late last night.

Arun (27), son of Mahadev, a native of Chamarajanagar taluk and a resident of Hinkal (near Yashasvini Choultry on Hunsur Road) is the deceased.

Arun, who arrived in the city by Chamarajanagar-Mysuru train at about 11.30 pm last night, did not de-board the train along with other passengers and reportedly ended his life by hanging self from a ceiling fan of a bogie when it was completely empty.

The matter came to light an hour later, following which the Railway Police who rushed to the spot, informed the matter to his kith and kin.

After the conduct of Mahazar, the body was shifted to MMC&RI mortuary for Post-mortem.

The deceased Arun, who is said to be working for a private firm in the city, had got married just two months ago. The cause for this extreme step is not immediately known, according to the Railway Police who have registered a case in this regard.
