Newspaper Circulation Executive found dead on roadside

Mysuru: A Circulation Executive of a Kannada newspaper was found dead with injuries on his head at a roadside agricultural field near Marballi, coming under Jayapura Police limits this morning.

The deceased has been identified as Shivashankar (25), son of Govindanayaka of Kappasoge village in Nanjangud taluk, who was working as a Circulation Executive of Vijayavani Kannada newspaper.

Yesterday night, Shivashankar left Mysuru along with his friend on his bike to his native place. His friend alighted at Marballi between 12.30 am and 1 am and Shivashankar continued on his bike alone but did not reach home.

This morning, the bike of Shivashankar was found on the road and his body with injuries on his head was found lying in the agricultural field on the roadside.

Jayapura Police, who have suspected it to be a hit-and-run case, have registered a case of unnatural death and have shifted the body to MMC&RI mortuary in city.
