NIA to hold training in first-aid for industrial workers on June 30

Mysuru: Nanjangud Industries Association (NIA) in association with the Department of Factories and Boilers, Industrial Safety and Health, Mysuru Division, has organised the 54th one-day training programme on first-aid for industrial workers and supervisors on Friday (June 30) from 9 am to 5.30 pm at Hotel Shree Guru Residency, JLB Road Cross, Mysuru.

The need for first-aid is greater than ever because of the increased use of machines and electrical appliances in everyday work at home, at workplace etc.

As per the statutory compliance, in every industry certain number of employees should be trained in first-aid and they should know the important procedure for treating the casualty.  Moreover they should know the procedure of calling the ambulance and shifting the injured to the hospital.

The faculty for this programme is an experienced doctor from St.John’s  Ambulance Association.

  1. Guru, Industrialist, will inaugurate the programme which will be presented through lectures, discussions, case studies, interaction and demonstrations.
