Mysuru: The National Institute of Engineering (NIE) will be organising Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) Inter-Collegiate Mysuru Division Basketball Men Championship 2025-26 at NIE Diamond Jubilee Indoor Sports Complex on Manandavadi Road in city on Nov. 3 (tomorrow).

The championship will be inaugurated Shravan Urs, National Basketball Player at 9.30 am. NIE Hon. Treasurer N. Sathyakumar will preside. NIE Principal Dr. Rohini Nagapadma, Vice- Principal Dr. K.C. Manjunath and VTU Physical Education Director (Mysuru Zone) H.C. Sudina will be present.

Basketball teams from Mysuru, Kodagu, Chamarajanagar, Mandya and Ramanagar districts are expected to take part in the championship. Last year’s champions NIE have been seeded no. 1 while Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE) Mysuru, semi-finalists VVIET, Mysuru and CIT, Ponnampet have been seeded no.2, no.3 and no.4 respectively.
