As part of its Ninaada Griha Sangeeth monthly Bhaitak series, Ranjani Memorial Trust, Udupi, has organised the June Bhaitak programme by Amritha Shenoy Kamath from Mumbai on June 3 at 6 pm at Ninaada, Rishabh Siddhi Layout, Kergalli. She will be accompanied on tabla by Meghashyam Keshav and on harmonium by Prasad Kamat.

Amritha began her training in Hindustani Classical Vocal at the age of 6 under Pt. Madhav Bhat of Udupi. Later she had the great fortune to receive training and guidance from Vidu. Jayashree Patnekar for 6 years. Amritha is currently training under Apoorva Gokhale (Granddaughter and disciple of Pt. Gajananbuwa Joshi) and Pt. Yeshwant Mahale, a scholar, musician, and composer of the Agra Gharana.

Amritha has completed her Master’s in Music with first rank and gold medal from Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University – Pune. She is a B.Tech in Computer Science and is pursuing music full time. Amritha also learns Sitar under Zunain Khan.
