Niranthara Ranga Utsava from Dec. 21 to 25

Mysore/Mysuru: Niranthara Foundation, Mysuru, in association with MSIL, Bengaluru, Directorate of Kannada & Culture, Bengaluru and Ministry of Culture, New Delhi, has organised Niranthara Ranga Utsava 2023-24 at Mini Theatre in Kalamandira premises on Hunsur Road in city from Dec. 21 to 25.

December 21

5.30 pm: Siddi Damami Folk Dance by Anche Madle Art Troupe, Yellepura.

6.15 pm: Inauguration of Niranthara Ranga Utsava. Directorate of Ports and Inland Water Transport-Karnataka CEO Jayaramarayapura, MSIL-Bengaluru Managing Director Manoj Kumar, Kannada & Culture Department-Bengaluru Director Dr. Dharanidevi Malagatti and Niranthara Director Prasad Kundoor will be present.

7 pm: Staging of play ‘Krouncha Geeta’ by Ranga Ratha, Bengaluru; Written by Asif Kshatriya; Directed by Asif Kshatriya and Shwetha Srinivas.

December 22

6.30 pm: Senior Theatre Person Indira Nayar and Senior Engineer N.S. Anand will be present.

7 pm: Staging of play ‘Atankavadiya Akasmika Savu’ by Abhinaya Taranga, Bengaluru; Written by Dario Fo; Directed by H.K. Shwetharani.

December 23

6.30 pm: Journalist Rashmi Koti and Kannada & Culture-Mysuru Director Dr. M.D. Sudarshan will be present.

7 pm: Staging of play ‘Project Darling’ by Nirdiganta, Sr-irangapatna; Written and directed by Sharanya Ramaprakash.

December 24

6.30 pm: Senior Theatre Person Rameshwari Verma and Honnalli Gangadhar of Hasiru Foundation-Bengaluru will be present.

7 pm: Staging of play ‘Goruru’ (based on Goruru Ramaswamy Iyengar’s essays) by Niranthara, Mysuru; Directed by Manjunatha L. Badigera.

December 25

6.15 pm: ‘Laya-Vadya’ programme by Rhythm Adda.  Valedictory of Niranthara Ranga Utsava. Actor and MLC Umashree, folk scholar Prof. H.S. Ramachandregowda, MSIL-Bengaluru Marketing Manager Chandrappa and Srinivas Palahalli of Niranthara will be present. 7 pm: Staging of play ‘Na Rajaguru’ by Aatamata, Dhar-wad; Directed by Mahadeva Hadapada.
